Behind The Scenes

Every children’s book begins with an idea, and I love seeing that idea grow into a finished book. Here’s a look at how I bring a story to life:

1. Sketching the Idea ✏️
I start with rough sketches to explore the characters, expressions, and scenes. This helps bring your vision to life and makes sure the story feels just right.

2. Character Development 👧🏾
I refine the characters, experimenting with their look, personality, expressions, and details so they feel real, relatable, and consistent throughout the book.

3. Illustrating on the iPad 🎨
The sketches are brought into my iPad, where I add color, texture, backgrounds, and all the little details that make each page feel warm and engaging.

4. Formatting the Book 📖
Once the illustrations are complete, I can arrange the pages, add the text, and prepare the files so everything flows beautifully from beginning to end.

5. Self-Publishing & Printed Copies 📚
I can assist with preparing the final files for self-publishing so your story can go from an idea on your screen to a real book you can hold in your hands and share with the world.
