This book started with a real moment between me and my daughter. 💛

When she first started preschool, she struggled with separation anxiety. On her very first day, we both cried. Before leaving her, I kept reassuring her, “Mommy will always come back.” Those simple words became something she could hold onto. Her teachers would remind her that Mommy always comes back, and eventually, she started saying it to herself. 🥹

That experience inspired Mommy Always Comes Back.

I brought the story to life completely on my iPad starting with rough sketches, then slowly building each illustration with color, texture, characters, and all the little details that make up Penelope's world. ✏️🎨

What began as a phrase meant to comfort my own little girl became a book I hope can bring that same comfort to other children taking their first big steps away from Mom. 🤍
